Some people become obsessed with food or maybe with exercise, you never know everyone has their vice. Jimmy is addicted to killing milfs and cutting out their eyes for a keepsake. He is a sadistic serial killer who becomes the fixation of an on the wagon junkie named Mitch. Mitch has secretly followed Jimmy around for months watching his every move and video taping it.

One night while Mitch is huddled in the shadows in an alley way hiding behind a trash dumpster with his video camera and Jimmy is only a few feet away from him assaulting and killing a woman. Mitch just happens to catch it all on film. he runs home to the house where he lives with his mother to think things out. I did not think I was going to like The Perfect Witness but it caught me off guard and kept me into what was going on.

Jimmy is creepy and reminded me of Robert Deniro a little bit- his voice and line delivery I think were somewhat similar. This role I think would of been perfect for him to play as well. Jim scared me with his realness and he made the movie flow fluently. When Mitch gets in over his head you think, will he ever escape the hold that this serial killer has on him-he is being clenched by Jimmy's death grip on him and he isn't planning on letting anyone go.

Whether it be the junkie being forced to go on these killing excursions or even just having him show up or call him harassing him- it just keeps happening. Fear is a factor on Mitch’s shaky decisions but will he live to regret them and become an accomplice for just being there when the murders take place? As things quickly spiral out of control for the both of them you can't help but wonder if there will be any survivors in the end.

Think of what it would be like to witness a crime...ok how would you feel? Would you be scared shitless and hibernate in your house from the sheer terror of that serial killer knowing you saw him? Would you feel threatened?
Or would you be some smacked ass that makes a deal with him to film some of his murders and make a documentary promising not to go to the cops?

I couldn't help thinking what sort of freak would want to tag along and witness horrifying acts of violence, but hey I forgot the movie Mr. Brooks did the same thing- but at least in this there isn't the stupid other personality sitting around talking to him, he does things on his own. Former junkie Mickey meets sadistic Jimmy one night and they go out for a little thrill kill and Mitch realizes he likes to be a voyeur of pain.

Jimmy seemed to remind me of Deniro at times and maybe because this would of been a role for him to perfect, plus his line delivery had a tad bit to do with it as well. I didn't think I could get all knee deep in this but I unexpectedly (is that even a word for God's sake?) was sucked in by all the games Jimmy played. After you see his back ground you know why he is such a loser!

Everything in this movie is pretty upfront, the only one that seems to be hiding anything is Jimmy's sister, until Mickey figures out her secret and things get pretty tense. So basically what I am trying to say here is that the story ended up being far better than I imagined. To me, this flick was entertaining as well as being creepy- it's amazing how one’s mother, no matter what age they are has a effect on a person. Sometimes' family are far worse than enemies!
