I’m a fan of BumsCorner--it has more thoughtful and detailed reviews than most such sites.

Jennifer Rouse
As "Chainsaw Sally" gets closer and closer to release, it was time to get another one of the beauties from the film involved in our Christmas tradition. Friends, meet Jennifer Rouse.

BumsCorner: You look familiar...where have I seen you before?

Jennifer: I’ve been in a few horror films such as “The Death Of Poe” and “Chainsaw Sally”. You may have caught a glimpse of me in John Waters’ “A Dirty Shame”, “The West Wing”, and a couple of other TV shows. I also had a few roles in the Canadian TV show “Creepy Canada”.

BumsCorner: What's your favorite Christmas movie?

Jennifer: I would say my favorites are The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (with Boris Karloff’s great narration), and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. I DID like A Christmas Story until there was a 48-hour marathon of it last year on one of the cable channels. I can’t watch it this year!
Maybe after some time passes I’ll get back into it. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer is good also.

BumsCorner: Do you cook around the holidays, or let other people do the work?

Jennifer: Although I’ve been known to be a pretty good cook, I generally let other people do the work. I think I’ve only cooked one Thanksgiving dinner in my life and I was nervous as hell about it. Having to take the guts out of a turkey was just not for me. I have to say, the dinner came out pretty good though, for a first-time turkey cooker.

BumsCorner: Any particular tunes get you in the Christmas spirit?

Jennifer: Some of my favorites are Carol Of The Bells, and O Holy Night. Traditional Christmas songs get me into the spirit more than all of the pop songs that have been done about Christmas.

BumsCorner: Do you shop through the year, or last minute rush?

Jennifer: I always start out with the good intention of shopping well in advance but I usually end up starting about a week before Christmas. Looks like this year is shaping up the same way! The thing is, some of my family members are just so damn hard to buy gifts for! I usually can’t think of anything original to get them so I put it off and put it off until I end up falling back on my un-original idea of like, a shirt or something. My dad is the worst to shop for.

BumsCorner: We're having drinks with Santa later, any one particular gift we should tell him you want?

Jennifer: Well let’s get him really drunk to loosen him up and I’ll ask him for: a horse (although, he’d have to give me a new house with enough land around it as well, my backyard just doesn’t cut it for owning a horse), a new photography light kit, new computer software, and clothes are always good.

BumsCorner: Snow: makes the spirit bright, or cold white death?

Jennifer: I love snow…..as long as I’m inside and it’s outside!

BumsCorner: Working on any cool projects you can tell us about?

Jennifer: “The Death Of Poe” just came out on DVD through Alpha New Cinema. It’s a 3-disc set with loads of extras. If you’re a fan of Poe it’s a must have.
The set comes with: “The Death Of Poe” feature film, a bunch of behind-the scenes featurettes, “The Avenging Conscience” starring Henry B. Walthal from 1914 which is based on The Tell-Tale Heart, “The Raven” from 1915 which also stars Walthal, audio commentary from Mark Redfield (who directed and plays Edgar Allan Poe in “The Death Of Poe”), and a third disc which has a bunch of Poe’s poems and stories on it. The website for the film is http://www.thedeathofpoe.com.

“Chainsaw Sally” will be out on DVD through Shock-O-Rama on February 27th.
I play the infamous “Ice-Cream Girl” and also associate produced the film.
The DVD package for that is very good as well. I believe it’s going to include behind-the-scenes and making-of footage, cast and crew interviews and a few other special features.

I’ve also been training for a western that will start shooting next year called “One-Eyed Horse”. I’ve been going to “Cowboy Bootcamp” for the last couple of months, which has been a lot of fun. Wayne Shipley, who will direct it, has been teaching the actors some horse ridin’ and gun shootin’
skills. I hadn’t been on a horse since I was a teenager but I think I’m doing pretty well with it. You can check out the website at http://www.one-eyedhorse.com.

BumsCorner: How do you REALLY feel about carolers?

Jennifer: As long as they are singing on a street corner, they’re fine. When they knock on the front door it’s a little bit awkward. I know they mean well though.

BumsCorner: I've got some mistletoe I was going to sneak above the door before you left, should I even bother, or will you pretend you don't see it and scurry out of here like the last girl?

Jennifer: I’m gonna leave you guessing. Is it real live mistletoe or that fake plastic stuff?

BumsCorner: Have you been naughty or nice this year?

Jennifer: I’m always nice! Too nice. Maybe I should start being a little naughty more often. Makes life interesting.

BumsCorner: Screw all the Whos in Whoville...any final words for all the Bums in Bums Corner?

Jennifer: Have a great Christmas you guys! xoxo
