| Elizabeth Blue | Elizabeth is a novelist, short story author, and editor (check out her site HERE) and has the only horror website I've seen so far with an actual functioning recipe section. Kudos!

Scraps: What are your favorite Christmas movies?
Elizabeth: It's a Wonderful Life and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Also, pretty much anything with Bing Crosby in it.
Scraps: Any songs get you in the Christmas spirit?
Elizabeth: All of the songs from A John Waters Christmas.
Scraps: Do you shop early, or enjoy the last minute rush?
Elizabeth: I like to do the last minute thing - but not too last minute. I usually start shopping within 5 days of Christmas.
Scraps: Do you cook at home for your family and friends, or prefer to have other people do the work?
Elizabeth: I LOVE to cook, so I always have my friends and family over for Christmas Eve dinner. I cook a country ham, greens, hot rolls, macaroni and cheese and all sorts of other crap. I get really drunk, too, so Christmas morning I'm usually really hungover. | | Scraps: What's your favorite all-time Christmas food?
Elizabeth: A nice, salty country ham. (Smithfield.)
Scraps: What one gift are you really hoping for this year?
Elizabeth: A fire pit for the back yard or a deep fat fryer - stainless steel with 2 baskets. Or a Cuisinart Grind & Brew.
Scraps: Anything you love to give out to your friends and family?
Elizabeth: Fudge and pralines.
Scraps: Working on any projects right now that the BumsCorner community should know about?
Elizabeth: I'm about 18,000 word into my 4th novel, but I've had to put it on hold for a little while. I just started a new day job (after being at home 3 1/2 years) and it's hard adjusting to the new schedule. I'm STILL putting the finishing touches on my collection of stories and odd stuff about goats. One of these days it'll be publishable material. An anthology I co-edited, Travel Guide to the Haunted Mid-Atlantic Region, is about to be released in January 2006. | | Scraps: Snow...makes the season bright, or cold, wet white evil?
Elizabeth: Snow is the only good that comes from the cold weather. Well, that and all the fleas get killed. Let it snow!
Scraps: Christmas Carols...get you in the holiday spirit, or more like chewing on aluminum foil?
Elizabeth: Blech.
Scraps: Have you been naughty this year, or nice?
Elizabeth: Naughty, of course!
Scraps: Have anything nice to say about Rufus and Scraps, the Head Bums of BumsCorner?
Elizabeth: Y'all are the coolest! Merry Christmas. May Satan, er, Santa bring you your heart's desire! |
